The Really: Palin is going to debate using the “Joe Six-Pack” strategy (audio of 9-30-2008 interview with Hugh Hewitt) to grab working class men and women uncertain about Obama?

This would seem to be the approach: Let her lose the debate but drag the fence-sitting and independent voters distressed by Obama’s “guns and religion” quote by playing, “Oh I am just like you Joe Six-Pack and Jane Six-Pack.” Although it has been pointed out that the Palin’s are not Joe Six-Pack (Washington Times no less) by any stretch –even if they did lose $20K last week. That folksy, “I pick my teeth one canine at a time just like you,” charm could grab just enough votes to make a difference.

Generally viewers look at the Veep debate wondering, “Could this person be President?” but sometimes they look and say, “That Dan Quayle seems like such a nice young man.”
