Shut Up Cable!! Continental Flight 61 Coverage Being Hyped

The Really: Every cable network is breathlessly promoting the tragic incident where a pilot died en route to the US in a Continental 777 from Brussels to Newark today. From the news teasers, I believe the above pic is what they were thinking was going on.
As one of the best internet writers (and a working commercial pilot Patrick Smith of Salon has pointed out a zillion times) the pilot is not alone. On this flight there were two other pilots on board.
So lose the story cable. It may be worth a mention but the plane was never in any danger. Condolences to the family of the pilot who died.
