In a recent blip, Barack Obama said he would “do what’s necessary” to fix an economy that looks like a face that has been beaten to a bloody pulp. I don’t think American’s would mind the bruising so much if it was post op, but being that Congress and the boys at the FED have not conducted anything that closely resembles the surgical precision we so desperately need, we are all still crying out for HELP… Right now I would liken our economy to a middle aged man with a obvious broken arm sitting in the emergency room. The doctor has already come out, looked at the man and said, “Yep, that arm is broken. We will have to send you into surgery to get it fixed.” The man (our economy) looks back at the doctor and says, “Really!!!“

We need someone to take us into surgery so our broken economy can get the help it needs. Hopefully, Barack and his new/old team of experts, pundits and micro managers will put a plan in place that will use force to fix our economy, not throw some prescription medication at it and hope it stops bugging us. The first installment of our Economic Stimulus Package is a joke. Clearly, all we have done is put some pocket money in the coffers of some Big Business Baffons so they can gas up their Gulf Stream Jets to fly down to Washington DC and ask for more!

Losers: Politics of nastiness. Big loser. From the Palin dog eat sled dog meaness to the Rovian “fear” factor; it turns out that Rove/Cheney was good for one four year term and one stolen election and possibly the destruction of the GOP, forever.

Stuart Smalley: Not quite good enough but Franken will get a recount.

Gays. Prop 8 appears to have passed but it may be a violation of the 14th Amendment. Obama appointments to the judiciary may make Prop 8 a short-lived affair.

Winners: Democrats. If Obama continues to be smart (and after the inspired excellence of his campaign there is no reason to think he will not) the critical problems facing America may get the intelligence and care (no long vacations for Barack or camping out for a month while a shadow president steers the helm).

Regular folks: You would think from the Bush years that America was made up of hedge fund managers and CEOs, but no it is made up of regular Joes and Janes who bear no resemblance to Joe the Plumber. Decent, hard working people who have been getting the shaft for a decade. These are the real winners of this election.

America: Does this remove the original sin of America? No. But today more than ever in the history of this great nation it is being redeemed.
